Tethered to your desk?
According to the Steelcase Global Report, the majority of office workers around the world use twice as much fixed technology as mobile technology, tethering workers to their desks.
In fact, 80 percent of workers use a desktop computer, while 86 percent use a landline phone. As a result, workers today are desk-bound, spending an average of 5.7 hours a day sitting.
Sitting for extensive periods of time is harmful in many ways, and with so much fixed technology it's important workers move frequently.
