Capita Trust Company
Incorporated in 1956, Capita Trust Company (Jersey) Limited was one of the first trust companies to be established in Jersey. In September 2005, Capita acquired Channel House Trustees to form Capita Fiduciary Group and at the end of last year moved into their new landmark offices at 26 Esplanade.
After undergoing an intensive tender process with Capita Symonds, Project Managers for Capita Fiduciary and Axis Mason Interiors, Interior Designers of the new office space, Style Office were successful in being selected to supply furniture for the new Capita building.
The development is spread over four floors and furniture was required from Style Office for meeting rooms, breakout areas, client areas, waiting areas, staff cafeteria and the prestigious boardroom on the first floor, all of which would compliment the company’s vision for a comfortable, efficient and well-designed working interior.
Customised tables, ergonomic chairs, stylish cabinets, leather seating and café furniture from France, Germany, Holland, Switzerland and Italy were carefully selected to achieve a harmonious blend of modern and natural tones.
Style Office were also responsible for providing task seating for the 190 staff in the shape of the Please chair by Steelcase. With its unique two-back system the Please chair has provided the users with unparalleled levels of comfort.
Capita Fiduciary had over a kilometre of filing to be accommodated in their news offices and were keen to ensure that the storage of this considerable amount of files did not encroach on the working space of the staff. Style Office provided the solution with the supply of three mobile storage systems on the two most densely populated floors in areas set back from the open plan space, providing a central location for each floors’ filing and freeing up more working space for the staff.
