Sacre Couer

A new build residential Apartment project in a prominently residential area located adjacent to the Sacre Coeur Convent behind the St. Helier Ambulance Station on Rouge Bouillon, St. Helier.

This unique project comprised 3 low rise Apartment blocks of a minimalist contemporary design with large glazed areas.

The project required the Design team to work closely with the Architect and Developer to ensure minimal fenestration framing sightlines which emphasise the large glazed areas of the new-build minimalist design when viewed in contrast with the adjacent Gothic style Convent.

The location of the site is in a predominantly residential area and as such required close liaison with the main contractor so as to minimise disturbance and nuisance to the surrounding residents.

The project utilizes various aluminium fenestration and glazing products from the ‘Sapa’ system suite and combines a curtain walling staircase screen, large fixed pane glazing areas, large sliding doors with concealed reinforcing and ‘hidden’ threshold, large hinged doors and casement windows. Additional items supplied and installed by Style Windows include bespoke insulated aluminium presswork.
